Last November I met up with local music artist MRSHLL for a shoot. I've been experimenting a bit with colored flash and wanted to bring that outdoors to Seoul's gritty back streets at night. Seoul's night aesthetic falls unfortunately short of a cyber neon, so I wanted to bring a color scheme that would add to that feel.
Jeju Island Cinemagraphs
Back in August I went down to Jeju island with a friend and fellow photographer Dylan Goldby for a photo trip. I gave a few cinemagraphs a try in between shots. We spent most of our time near water so the options for subjects was a bit limited, but I’m quite happy with the few that I got!
Colored Gel Portraits with Sunny and Beejay
I’ve been meaning to try out colored gel photography for a while. I’ve taken a few stabs at it here and there but with this shoot with Sunny and her boyfriend Beejay, I wanted to give it a proper go and really create something solid. They’re are both DJ’s here in Seoul, so it felt like an appropriate time to get colorful.
